Mrs. Margaret Matilda Boyd

Mrs. Margaret Matilda Bowman Boyd, 82, of Ararat, VA passed away at her home Friday, November 25, 2016. She was born in Patrick County, VA on January 5, 1934 to the late Muncie Otis and Mildred Ola Montgomery Bowman. Mrs. Boyd retired from Sealy Mattress Company and was of the Baptist Faith. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters and a son-in-law, Heather Boyd of Ocoee, FL, Verna and Brian Gordon of Clermont, FL; a granddaughter, Jamie Gordon of Davenport, FL; sisters, Rena Elizabeth Bowman and Evelyn Lucille Jarrell both of Ridgeway, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Elbert and Dorothy Bowman and Herbert Henry and Jewel Bowman both of Ararat, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her husband, Vestal Vernon Boyd. Funeral services will be held at Moody Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dean Eaton officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
