Mrs. Margaret Wyrick Smith

Mrs. Margaret Louise Wyrick Smith, age 75 of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Smith was born in Surry County on May 1, 1937 to Ardena Montgomery Wyrick and the late Edgar Vernon Wyrick. She was retired from Belk of Mt. Airy and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Surviving is her loving husband of fifty two years, Leonard Smith; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Rachel Smith of Rock Hill, SC; her mother, Ardena Wyrick of Mt. Airy; and a sister, Patricia Marshall of Mocksville. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Skyline Memory Gardens by Dr. Steve Lindsley. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Salem Chest Specialists including Dr. Gallup and all the doctors there; to Forsyth Medical Center Intensive Care Unit, especially Marsha Cranfill and all the nurses as well as the palliative care doctors and nurses for the remarkable care given to Mrs. Smith during her stay there.
