Mrs. Marie Flippin Turner

Mrs. Marie Flippin Turner, age 81 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on September 11, 1933 to the late Enoch and Pauline Greenwood Stowe. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Turner and three brothers, Melvin, Carson and Lonnie Stowe. She had retired from United Elastic with 44 years of service.

Mrs. Turner is survived by a daughter, Ann Martin and her fiancé, Bud Wells of Stuart; three sisters, Betty Martin of Bassett, Allie Martin and husband, Hoyte of Patrick Springs and Velma Martin and husband, Roy of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Patrick Memorial Garden with Elder Lowell Hopkins officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
