Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Rigney Richardson

Ms. Martha Elizabeth Rigney "Libby" Richardson age 60 of 280 Tulip Lane, Cana, VA passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 25, 1952 in Surry County, NC to the late Gifford Lee and Ruby Virginia Westmoreland Rigney. She was a self employed seamstress and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Survivng are three daughters and two sons-in-laws, Alice Ann and Uliss Duncan, Cana, VA Adria-Annia and Rick Bowman, Hillsville, VA and Jessie Ayers, Cana, VA. 2 grandaughters and 3 grandsons, a number of Step Children and Step grandchildren, two brothers, Tony Rigney, Mt. Airy and W.H. Rigney, Cana, VA. In addition to her parents, Ms. Richardson was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Henley and a brother, Donald "Don" Rigney. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 29, 2012at Epworth United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Vass and Rev. David Turner.. The family will receive friends 12:30 pm Sunday until the time of service at Epworth United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may bemade to Moody Funeral Service, PO Box 1288, Mt. Airy, NC 27030 to help with Mrs. Richardson's funeral expense.
