Mrs. Mary Lou Puckett Jarrell Collins

Mrs. Mary Lou Puckett Jarrell Collins, Age 85, of Lowgap passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy. She was born in Surry County on October 4, 1929 to the late William Haston and Lena Davis Puckett. Mrs. Collins was retired from Perry Manufacturing after 47 years of employment and was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Wayne Johnson of Lowgap; sons and daughter-in-law, Grover and Judy Jarrell of Kernersville, Johnny Wayne Jarrell of Lowgap; step-daughter and spouse, Connie and Donnie Gray of Claudville, VA; step-son and spouse, Don and Carolyn Collins of Claudville, VA; Seven grandchildren; Seven great grandchildren; Two great great grandchildren; Three step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Collins; her first husband, Grover Quincy Jarrell; sisters, Maude Senter, Lizzie Jones, Betty Hill, Annabelle Puckett, Polly Puckett, Barbara Cooke and Frances Watson; brothers, John, Claude, Bill, Joe, Roger, and Jake Puckett. Funeral services will be held Friday November 14, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Blue Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Moore, Rev. Tommy Shelton and the Rev. Bill Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night 6 to 8 P.M. at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church.
