Mrs. Mary Valencia Howell Wagoner Farquer

Mrs. Mary Valencia Howell Wagoner Farquer, age 72 of Stuart, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Martinsville. She was born in Patrick County on May 11, 1942 to the late James Thomas Howell and Nellie Mae Handy Howell Swaney. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Daniel "Larry" Farquer; a son, Robert "Junior" Wagoner; a grandson, Robert Carl Jackson; four brothers, LeRoy, Chester, Cleo and Lonnie Howell; and three sisters, Crystal Ogle, Erline Farthing and Dorothy Horton. She was a member of Vesta Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mrs. Farquer is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Larry Jackson of Stuart; one son, Jerry Wagoner of Stuart; three grandchildren, J.P., Joshua and Sam Jackson; two sisters, Cathy Wagoner of Patrick Springs and Helen Swaney of Black Mountain, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Jonathan Goins officiating. A private burial will be held in the Howell Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
