Mrs. Mary Lou Duncan Marion

Mrs. Mary Lou Duncan Marion, 78, of Pinnacle passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Surry County on May 17, 1936 to the late Simon Louis and Gertie Woods Duncan. Mrs. Marion was a homemaker and was a member of the Peoples Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Quinn Collins and Kevin of Clark, NJ; three sons and daughter-in-law, Everett Lester Marion, Jr. and JoAnn of Newport, Jimmy Trent Marion of Pinnacle, David Andrew McCaw of Clark, NJ; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Duncan of Mt. Airy; a brother-in-law, Robert Wright of Mt. Airy; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Lester Marion; a son, Roger William McCaw; two brothers, James Louis Duncan, Jackie Monroe Duncan; three sisters, Pauline Wright, Helen Thomas, and Irene Thompson. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 22, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Peoples Church with the Rev. Eugene Brinkley officiating. Burial will follow in the Peoples Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 until time for the service at the Peoples Church. Moody funeral Home in Mt. Airy is serving the Marion family.
