Mrs. Meredith Johnson Swaim

Mrs. Meredith Johnson Swaim age 70 of 2402 Wards Gap Road, Mt. Airy, NC wife of Mr. Jesse J. Swaim passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born May 13, 1944 in Troup County, GA to the late Lewis Murray and Mary Kate Harrison Johnson. She was a sales person for Cox Communications and was a member of Grace Moravian Church. Surviving are her husband, Jesse J. Swaim of the home, a son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin "Ben" Lewis England and Kim of Bosier City, LA, three stepdaughters, Teresa Ann Sisley of Viera, FL, Catherine Lea Davis of Burlington, NC, and Margaret Elizabeth Horton of Greensboro, NC, two step sons, Jesse M. Swaim of Pioneer Town, CA and William Anthony Swaim of Calcium, NY four grandchildren, Daniel Anthony England of Bosier City, LA, Richard Lee Hohmann of Shreveport, LA, Cari Diane Zack of Dallas, TX and Cody Matthew Zack of Antigo, WI, 13 step grandchildren and a sister, Jennifer Louise Stevens of Bosier City, LA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Swaim was preceded in death by her first husband, Emmett Levi England and a daughter, Andrea Kay England Hohmann Zack. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Richard Lowman. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30 pm Sunday until time of the service at Moody Funeral Home.
