Mrs. Mildred Joyce Bryant Turpin

Greatly beloved Mildred Joyce Bryant Turpin age 85 of King, NC, widow of Mr. Everett "Toots" Turpin passed from this earthly life into the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Priddy Manor in King. She was born December 27, 1928 in Surry County to the late Edgar and Nina Lawrence Bryant. She was retired from Royal Cake Company and was a member of Triad Baptist Church in Kernersville, NC. Surviving are a daughter, Robin Laughlin of Lexington, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jerry Brent Hall of King, Rev. Ron Hall and Brenda of Mt. Airy, Jeffery Scott Hall and Lisa of Winston-Salem, grandchildren and spouses, Christy Whitaker and Chris, Gina Whitaker, David Hall all of Mt. Airy, Laura Hall and Joseph Hall both of Winston-Salem, Byron Laughlin and Heather Laughlin all of Kernersville, six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Turpin was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Bryant Turpin. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Pinnacle View Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by Rev. Ron Hall. Burial will follow in the Anchor Baptist Church Cemetery . The family will receive friends 12:30 pm Thursday until time of the service at Pinnacle View Baptist Church.
