Mrs. Myrtle Loudene Hiatt Inman, 86, of 2598 Westfield Road,. Mt. Airy, NC passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. Myrtle was born July 26, 1927 in Surry County, NC to the late Wilford and Effie Simmons Hiatt. She was retired having worked many years at the family owned store, Busy Bee, on Westfield Road and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She leaves her children to cherish her memory: S. Dwain Inman and wife, Stella of Mt. Airy, Dana Inman Goins and husband Bobby "Buck" of Mt. Airy and Kevin Gray Inman and wife, Jennifer of Hickory. Her memory will be kept alive and cherished by her 11 grandchildren: Jayme Inman, Amanda Inman Pardue, David Inman, Brad Inman, Brandon Inman, Jody Inman, Frankie Goins, Kayla Goins, Olivia Inman, Sophie Inman and Allen Hudson. She also has 14 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Inman was preceded in death by her loving husband, of more than 64 years, Clarence Bill Inman, her son, Gary Inman, sisters, Lilly Leftwich, Ella Gammons and Nellie Johnson and a brother, Lester Hiatt. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Wednesday 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The service will be conducted by Elder Larry Johnson and Brother Paul Lewis. Entombment will follow in the Skyline Memory Garden Mausoleum. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
