Mrs. Nancy Louise Booker Schwab

Mrs. Nancy Louise Booker Schwab, 77, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on September 18, 1937 to the late Gaetana D'Amico and Irene Nester D'Amico Crews. Mrs. Schwab was a homemaker and was a member of Grace Moravian Church. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Torie Porter and Howard of Virginia Beach, VA, Tania Tayloe and Richard Broad of Fairfax, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg Booker and Lisa of Mt. Airy; three grandchildren, Beau Booker, Spencer Tayloe, and Landon Porter; a brother James D'Amico of Mt. Airy; and her beloved Dalmatian, George. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Schwab was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Ray Booker; her second husband, Reginald H. Schwab. A memorial graveside service will be held Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at God's Acre with the Rev. Jennie Hemrick officiating. There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017 or to Grace Moravian Church, 1401 N. Main St., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
