Mrs. Nancy Margaret Wood Shelton

Mrs. Nancy Margaret Wood Shelton, age 87 of Patrick Springs, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2006 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on July 11, 1919 to the late William J. and Sally Lou Dalton Wood. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Shelton, and four brothers, Alvis H., I. Lester, R. Leon and Akers Wood.
Mrs. Shelton is survived by one brother, James W. Wood, and wife, Lois, of Martinsville, two sisters-in-law, Elva Wood of Ridgeway and Jean Wood of Martinsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shelton will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Ted Thisse officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
