Mrs. Nannie Elizabeth Donathan Draughn

Mrs. Nannie Elizabeth Donathan Draughn, age 80, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Patrick County on August 23, 1933 to the late Dillard Monroe and Martha Jane Collins Donathan. Mrs. Draughn was a homemaker and was a loving mother and a friend to everyone. She is survived by two sons Danny Draughn and Arthur Draughn both of Mt. Airy, one sister Annie Draughn of Siloam, one brother and sister-in-law Harry and Betty Jane Brown of Siloam, a very special niece Lisa Jane Brown of Siloam and her fiancé Joe Nunn, niece Brenda Pike Key and family of Mocksville, NC, nephews Rev. Wayne Draughn of Rockford and Jesse Draughn of Siloam, a special great nephew Roger Draughn of Siloam, a special great niece Tammy Draughn of Ararat, VA and special friends Frank Mc Craw and Curtis Whitaker both of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents Mrs. Draughn was preceded in death by a daughter Patsy Ann Draughn, one brother Rev. Joe Pike and a nephew, James Draughn. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 21, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with the Rev. Wayne Draughn and Mr. Frank Mc Craw officiating. Burial will follow in the Redeeming Grace Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night 7 to 9P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC. Flowers will be accepted.
