Mrs. Nelda Ilene Reynolds Martin

Mrs. Nelda Ilene Reynolds Martin, age 88 of Mount Airy, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mount Airy, North Carolina. She was born in Patrick County, Virginia on April 19, 1926 to the late James Fred and Etta Roberson Reynolds. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Moir Martin; a great-grandson, Brandon Moss; a twin sister, Hilda Adkins; and two brothers, Alvin and Doyle Reynolds. She had been a medical assistant for Dr. Samuel Massey, and was a member of Stuart Baptist Church.
Mrs. Martin is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Johnny Moss of Mount Airy, North Carolina; one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Teresa Martin of Mount Airy, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Carrie Hart of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Samantha Gabriel of Mount Airy, North Carolina and Matthew Martin of Mount Airy, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Goins and Caleb Gabriel; one sister, Evis Neerland of Orlando, Florida; special nephews and niece, Alan Adkins of Glen Allen, Virginia, Larry Adkins of Stephen City, Virginia and Jackie Mullens of Oakland, Florida; a special aunt, Ruby Slaughter of Stuart, Virginia; and a special friend, Ilene Bolt of Stuart, Virginia.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Ricky Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
