Mrs. Nettie Cassell Sanders

Mrs. Nettie Cassell Sanders, age 90 of Patrick Springs, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on July 23, 1923 to the late William Mack Cassell and Alice Susan Underwood Cassell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne C. Sanders; one granddaughter, Leshia Michelle Overby; four brothers, Madison, Austin, Edison and Clarence Cassell; and three sisters, Melva Dillon, Myrtle Graham and Verna Ratliff.
Mrs. Sanders is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jo and Pete Williams of Stuart; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Janice Sanders of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Bobby Sanders, II, Ronald Overby, and Tracy Pell; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Daniel Morrison of Collinsville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sanders will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Dewayne Troutt officiating. Burial will follow in Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
