Mrs. Ola Faye Smith

Mrs. Ola Faye Boyles Smith, age 90 of Mt. Airy, entered into the more immediate presence of the Lord on February 1, 2014. Mrs. Smith was born in Surry County on August 21, 1923 to Charlie Ross and Agnes Jones Boyles. She never complained or focused on herself and was an encouragement, not only to her family, but also to everyone she encountered. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and adored by so many. Mrs. Smith was a devoted member of Mt. Bethel Moravian Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Don Coe of Mt. Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Debbie Smith also of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Ashley McKnight and husband, Dale, Justin Smith and wife Jennifer, Adam Coe and Molly C. Graves and husband Shane; great grandchildren, Jackson Graves, Addison Graves, Kam McKnight and Jaylee Smith and very special nieces and nephews, Sandy Shaffer, Katie Wigley, Rusty McCraw and Mark Dodson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Franklin "Frank" Smith; sisters, Pauline McHone and Opal Mae McCraw and a brother, Leo Boyles. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Mt. Bethel Moravian Church by Rev. Charles Fishel. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Mt.
