Mrs. Opal Key Edmonds

Opal Edmonds Mrs. Opal Key Edmonds, age 90, of Dobson, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born May 8, 1924 to the late Oliver Gabriel and Nina Ann Terrell Key. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons Lonnie Dell Edmonds and Tommy and wife Kathleen Edmonds, of Dobson; grandchildren, Mandy and husband Sean Stanley of Davidson, NC, Aaron and wife Brooke Edmonds, of Dobson; great grandchildren, Jack Stanley, Haven Stanley and Salem Stanley , all of Davidson; Cathryn Edmonds of Dobson and one brother Oliver Key Jr. and one special niece, Patty Marion both of Ararat, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Wendell Curvie Edmonds; sisters Alma Danley, Myrtle Mae Danley; one brother, James Key and one daughter-in-law Cathy P. Edmonds. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Fairview Baptist Church, with Dr. Blue Bryan, Dr. Dan Merritt and the Rev. Lee Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, February 13, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fairview Baptist Church where her body will remain until the hour of the service.
