Mrs. Pauline Combs Bowman

Mrs. Pauline Combs Bowman, 83 of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on May 22, 1931 to the late E.P. and Alice Combs. Mrs. Bowman is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Easter and Ronnie of Cana, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, David Hicks and Nancy of Columbus, GA and Dikki Ellis and Robin of West Orange, NJ, Kathy Bowman of Pilot Mountain, NC; grandchildren, Crystal Easter, Andy Hicks, Tim Hicks, Christi Ridout and Katie Cave; and great grandchildren, Parker and Rylee Hicks, Kayla, Adam, Dalton and Alex Ridout and Tony O’Rourke. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Bowman; a grandson, Frankie Ridout and several brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Campbell Family Cemetery with Chaplain Jason Kline officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. In lieu of flowers the family has requested for memorials to be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Mt. Airy, NC 27017.
