Mrs. Rebecca Jean Boyer Jones

Mrs. Rebecca Jean Boyer Jones, age 71, of Walnut Cove, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at her daughter’s home. Mrs. Jones was born in Forsyth County on June 9, 1944 to John Conrad and Sarah Marcelle Miller Boyer. She was a loving homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Left to cherish her precious memory are her children, Rae E. Hurley and husband Steve, Gina E. Abee, Susan C. Casto and husband Gary, Kimberly C. Bumgardner and husband Jeff, Paul East and Alexis E. Newsome; grandchildren, Ryan Lora, Nicholas Mello, Grayson Bumgardner, Cashe Newsome and Teagan Newsome; a sister, Loretta Long and husband Chester, and brothers, Wesley Boyer, Sam Boyer and wife Linda, and David Boyer. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Jones. A memorial service will be held at a later date at her daughter’s home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Cross Baptist Church at 4350 High Point Rd., Kernersville, NC 27284.
