Mrs. Roberta Joyce Patterson

Mrs. Roberta Joyce Patterson, age 93 of Ridgeway, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born in Patrick County on May 21, 1920 to the late Thomas Green Joyce and Bertie Ann Martin Joyce. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Webster Patterson, Jr. and six sisters, Audrey Joyce, Mae Joyce, Pauline Craddock, Lois Fain, Lennis Hughes and Ocie Williams. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Ridgeway, and had retired from DuPont in Martinsville.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by one sister, Georgia Shelor of Lychburg, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Patterson will be held Friday, November 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Donnie Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
