Mrs. Ruby Lee Bowman

Mrs. Ruby Lee Sherrill Bowman, 82 of Mt. Airy passed at her home Wednesday, February 26, 2014. She was born in Danville, VA on September 1, 1931 to the late Virginia and Carl Lawson. Mrs. Bowman is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Bowman and Jenene Ramaley of Somerset, NJ, Roger Bowman and Linda Conway of Bayville, NJ and Bruce and Jan Bowman of Lowgap, NC; a granddaughter, Savannah Brittany Bowman; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Eliza and Ed Huff of Blanch, NC, Rachel and Thomas Patton of Danville, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Virginia Lawson of Providence, NC; a lifelong friend, Kaye Bennett of Pilot Mountain; and grand-doggies, Konan and Cameo. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her husband, Gidd Ellis "Buddy" Bowman; a son, David Bowman; a grandson, Dereck Bowman; and a brother, Charlie Lawson. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Skyline Memory Gardens with Rev. Richard Loman officiating.
