Mrs. Ruby Mae Handy

Mrs. Ruby Mae Handy, age 97 of Stuart passed away Saturday in Laurel Fork. She was born on April 7, 1915 in Meadows of Dan to the late Euell B and Nannie Howell Handy. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother, W. Stafford Handy; and her Step Mother, Oma Craig Handy. Mrs. Handy was a member of Stuart United Methodist Church for over 35 years and had been a C.N.A at Stuart Hospital for 20 years.
Surviving are three cousins, Thelma Spangler of Monroe, OH, Delcie Blades of Locust Grove, Irene Joyce of Ridgeway; and her special caregiver, Bonnie Goad of Laurel Fork.
A graveside service will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Conner Family Cemetery in Meadows of Dan with Rev. Thomas Sheppard officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements.
