Mrs. Sally Evelyn Hull Jones

Mrs. Sally Evelyn Hull Jones, age 99, of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016, at Golden Living Nursing Center. Mrs. Jones was born in Surry County on October 9, 1916, to Hillary and Emma Davis Hull. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends. Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Myers; a son and daughter-in-law, Hurley and Shirley Jones; grandchildren, Bobby Jones (Shellie), Reid Jones (Peggy), Tina Jones, Melinda Jones and Sheila Myers (Tony); great grandchildren, Bobby Ray Jones, Jr. (Dixie), Daniel Jones, Corey Jones (Amy), Morgan Shadrick, Mason Mitchell, Ashley Harris, Amber Harris and J. T. Slate; great-great-grandchildren, Brandon, Macie, Madison, Allie, Kiera, Lexi, Ethan, Katie and Jaylan; brothers, Charlie Hull and Howard Hull and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Jones and a granddaughter, Carla Myers. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 4, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice at 401 Technology Ln, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
