Mrs. Sarah Njambi Kimani Hiatt, age 66, of Winston Salem, NC, passed away Sunday July 26, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Hiatt was born April 1, 1949 in Nairobi, Kenya to the late Patrick Kimani Waweru and Lucy Wanjiru Nganga. She was a home healthcare worker for several organizations. Surviving is her husband Howard Arthur Hiatt of the home, two daughters Zipporah Wairimu, Catterine Njeri, two sons Hosea Njeri Njoroge and Pastor Patrick K. Njoroge, a step daughter Ashani McHone, two step sons Sonny Hiatt and wife Susie and Samuel Isaac McAdams, nine grandchildren and four step grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hiatt was preceded in death by a daughter Evelyn Wanjiku. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the New Birth Church with services conducted by Pastor Dana Cook and Pastor Lucas Kimani with burial to follow in the Shelton Church of the Brethren Church Cemetery. Her body will lie in state 30 minutes before the service in the church on Saturday. The family will receive friends Friday night 7 to 9 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
