Mrs. Shirley Dimple Collins Bowman

Mrs. Shirley Dimple Collins Bowman Age 70 of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday March 29, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. Mrs. Bowman was born November 21, 1941 in Patrick County to the late Thomas T. and Minnie Bowman Collins, she was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law Gary and Brenda Bowman of Sanford, NC, Timothy and Rita Bowman of Mt. Airy and Phillip and Holly Bowman of Dobson, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters Georgia Puckett and Jean Scott both of Ararat, VA., one brother Clifford Collins of Fries, VA., special friends Bonnie and Harold Elmore of Dobson and a special neighbor Robert Woods of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held Sunday April 1, 2012 at 4:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Darren Slate with burial to follow in the Korners Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night 6 to 8 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy and at other time at the home of the son Timothy Bowman, 235 Orchard St. Mt. Airy.
