Mrs. Stacie V. Holyfield Harlan

Mrs. Stacie V. Holyfield Harlan, age 92 of Siloam, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Universal Health Care in King. Mrs. Harlan was born in Surry County on August 22, 1922 to Eugene Asbury and Bertha Atkins Holyfield. She was a retired waitress and a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Surviving are a son, James Holyfield and special friend, Frances Anderson; grandchildren, Debbie Caudle and husband Fred, Lanney Holyfield and Beverly Angle and husband Rusty; great grandchildren, Jeremy Wilson, Adam Holyfield, Cindy Lorish and husband Brian and Bradley Angle; great-great grandchildren, Brittany and Blake Kornbrust and a sister, Dixie Kiger. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harlan was preceded by her husband, Kenneth Harlan and a son, Thomas Wayne Mitchell. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home by Rev. Barry Clement. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
