Mrs. Stella Vaughn Gusler

Mrs. Stella Vaughn Gusler, age 81, of Stuart passed away Sunday at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on Feb. 22, 1934 to the late Moir W. Vaughn and Sally Dollarhite Vaughn. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Burnette, Ellen Handy; and two brothers, Willie and Cecil Vaughn. Mrs. Gusler was a 1951 graduate of Blue Ridge High School and was Valedictorian. She was a Shift Supervisor with DuPont for over 30 years and was a member of Stuart United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School.

Surviving are her husband, Leon B. Gusler of the home; one sister, Jane Lawson of Richmond; four brothers, Herman Vaughn of Vesta, Cotton Vaughn of Collinsville, Ray and Leon Vaughn both of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Tommy Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Patrick County Chapter, P.O.
