Mrs. Sylvia Marie Puckett Clarke

Mrs. Sylvia Marie Puckett Clarke, 78, of Elkin passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy. She was born in Surry County on October 18, 1936 to the late Lawrence Rees and Bertha Hicks Puckett. Mrs. Clarke was a retired Registered Nurse and in her younger days she was a wrestler Marie Darnell that traveled the United Stated with her friend, The Fabulous Moolah. She is survived by a son, Danny Lusardi; two sisters, Gracie Trindade, and Brenda Mauldin; a brother, David Puckett. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clarke was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel A. Lugardi; two sisters and two brothers. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
