Mrs. Tammy Thompson Harrison

Mrs. Tammy T. Harrison, age 46 of Ararat, Virginia, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at her home. She was born in Patrick County on July 22, 1967 to Nancy Claudette Franklin of Point Pleasant, West Virginia and William N. Thompson, Jr. of Stuart. Mrs. Harrison was a devoted teacher of the 4th and 5th grades at Blue Ridge Elementary School in Ararat for 23 years.
Other than her parents Tammy is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years, Arthur F. Harrison III of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen T. Putnam & husband, Frank W. of Stuart, Virginia; nephews, Philip T. Putnam and Will L. Putnam; her step-father, John S. Franklin of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; and family friend, Wanda Ayers-Slate of Stuart.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Blue Ridge Elementary School. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Blue Ridge Elementary School Sports, P.O. Box 30, Ararat, VA 24053.
