Mrs. Toni Taylor Ray

Mrs. Toni Taylor Ray, 59 of Mt. Airy passed away at Central Continuing Care on Friday, October 3, 2014. She was born in Guilford County, NC to the late Dillard and Myrtle Elma Dawson Taylor. Mrs. Ray touched the hearts of everyone who had the opportunity to meet and talk with her. She was loving, kind and encouraged others to do the same. Mrs. Ray relished the opportunity to tell others of her many blessings from her Heavenly Father; whether it was one more view of the sky, or a story about her much appreciated family. She is survived by her wonderful husband, Samuel "Jeff" Ray of the home; her precious sons, Samuel Adam Ray of Charleston, SC, and Jacob Taylor Ray of South Jordan, UT. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will follow at the James Monroe Hiatt Memorial Cemetery. There will not be a formal visitation, although, everyone is welcome to view at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
