Mrs. Vergie Hubbard Pruitt

Mrs. Vergie Hubbard Pruitt age 76 of Stuart, Virginia passed away at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Saturday March 29, 2014. She was born in Patrick County on February 11, 1938 to the late Sam and Rosa Eanes Hubbard. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur, James, Ben and Jesse Hubbard and two sisters, Nellie Hubbard Shelton and Mary Hubbard Howell. Mrs. Pruitt had worked as a C.N.A. at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center and the Landmark Center and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith.
Mrs. Pruitt is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harvey Pruitt of the home; a daughter, Debbie Jane Pruitt of Stuart; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Debbie Pruitt of Stuart; a granddaughter, Erin Pruitt Alexander and husband, Jason; three great grandchildren, Trent Alexander, Evan Alexander and Kameryn Alexander; two sisters, Ann Tatum and Agnes Williams, both of Stuart and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pruitt will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastors Kenneth Terry and J. R. Shelton officiating with burial immediately following in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
