Mrs. Verna Belt Inman

Mrs. Verna Belt Inman age 93, of Mt. Airy, NC, widow of Mr. Roger Inman, Jr., passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born April 1, 1920 in Baltimore County, MD to the late A.W Belt, Sr. and Laura Rawlings Belt. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Inman was a long time member of the Mt. Airy Country Club Ladies Golf Association. Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law, Jean Inman Williams, Indian Trail, NC, Barbara Inman Bailey and David, Sanford, NC, two grandsons, Stephen Bailey Fairfax, VA and Matthew Bailey, Carthage, NC, a brother William Belt, Westminster, MD. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Inman was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dennis Williams, three sisters, Mary Horton, Dorothy Belt, Betty Marshall and a brother, A.W. Belt, Jr. Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Oakdale Cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Harry Ferguson. The family will receive friends 11:30 am Thursday until time of the service at Moody Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
