Mrs. Vertie Snow Coe

Mrs. Vertie Snow Coe, age 94, of Dobson, NC, passed away on Sunday evening May 6, 2012 at Heritage Healthcare of Elkin. She was born in Surry Co. on December 22, 1917 to the late Robert William and the late Nancy Rebecca Alberty Snow. Vertie was a life long resident of Surry County and member of Fairview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arlis Milton Coe; her son-in-law David Victor; five sisters Flora Snow who died as a infant, Levora Gillian, Ada Hutchens, Lelia Mauldin, Cora Hunt; three brothers Cleve Snow, Elmer Snow, Edward Snow. Surviving is her daughter Imogene Victor of Winston-Salem, NC. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 9, 2012 at Fairview Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Dr. Andy Atkins will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of her service. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fairview Baptist Church Life Center Building Fund C/O Tommy Edmonds 6678 NC Hwy 268, Dobson, NC 27017.
