Mrs. Vicki Penn Manns

Mrs. Vicki Penn Manns age 43 of Spencer, Virginia passed away on Friday July 5, 2013 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Patrick County on October 28, 1969 to Ralph Taylor and Alberta Penn. Mrs. Manns was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ernest and Rosalee Penn; her paternal grandparents, Ed and Mary Lue Taylor and a half sister, Tilwanza Taylor. She was a faithful member of Trinity Church of the Living God. Vicki was truly devoted to her family, she loved being "Ma" to her boys, she was so proud to be "Grandma Vicki" to her grandson and she was affectionately known as the "Fun Auntie" to her nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Manns is survived by her husband, James Manns of the home; two sons, Anthony Harris, Jr. and Malcolm Manns both of the home; a grandson, Anthony Mekhi Harris; her mother, Alberta Penn of, Spencer,VA; her father and step-mother, Ralph & Peggy Taylor of Bassett, VA; a sister, Brenda Penn of Spencer, VA; two brothers, Ralph L. Taylor of Greensboro, NC and Warren Norman of Collinsville, VA; four half sisters, Reva Wang Wright, Terica Chase, Natasha Carolina, all of Martinsville, VA and Gail Jones of Roanoke, VA; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Janet Law of Bassett, VA and Shelia "Tooda" Penn of Spencer, VA.
Funeral services for Mrs. Manns will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Assembly Building, 980 Carver Road, Martinsville, VA 24112 with Bishop Burgie Penn officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Trinity Church of the Living God cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Pentecostal Assembly Building and at other times at the home.
