Mrs. Vickie Ellen Beck Leake

Mrs. Vickie Ellen Beck Leake, 58 of Mt. Airy passed away at her home Wednesday, April 29, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County to the late Esker Franklin and Mallie Lee Mabe Beck. She worked for Surry Friends of Seniors as long as her health permitted, sharing her kindness and care with all she met. Leaving to cherish her memories are, a daughter and son-in-law, Marquia and Jeff Vanderburg; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Jermaine Leake, Isaac and Felicia Leake and Johnny Leake, Jr.; three grandchildren, Mikey Vanderburg, Katie Allen and Sara Amari Leake; a special friend, Daniel Holzworth. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Leake was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Alfred Leake, Sr.; and a grandson, Anthony Leake. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 3, 2015 at The Salvation Army Church.
