Mrs. Virginia Conner Hylton

Mrs. Virginia Conner Hylton, age 91 of Stuart, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at Pioneer Community Hospital. She was born in Patrick County on October 18, 1920 to the late Posie and Naomi Mize Conner. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hylton was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ray Hylton; three sisters, Evelyn Salmons, Essie Conner and Ruth Pack; and two brothers, Jewell and Linwood Conner. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith, had retired from United Elastic Corporation, and had written a weekly column for The Enterprise.
Mrs. Hylton is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, O'Bain and Linda Hylton of Bassett, Dillard and Daisy Hylton of Woolwine; six grandchildren, Greg, Bobby, Chris, Michael and Brian Hylton and Amanda Collins; 15 great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Will, Adam, Allie, Ben, Reiden, Ashton, Addison, Avery, Matthew, Christina and Jada Hylton and Caleb, Madison and Tyler Collins; one sister and brother-in-law, Viola and Richard Morrison of Stuart; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Alvis Conner of Stuart, LeRoy and Mary Conner of Fieldale and Donnie and Lucy Conner of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hylton will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Donnie Conner and Elder Lewis Vass officiating. Burial will follow in Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and at other times at the homeplace.
