Mrs. Wanda Faye Parrish Fain

Mrs. Wanda Faye Parrish Fain, age 72 of Ridgeway, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at her home. She was born in High Point, North Carolina on June 5, 1941 to the late Clyde and Emily Pruitt Parrish. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fain was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Bobby Parrish; and a sister, Margie Ann Gammons. She had retired from Hooker Furniture with 30 years of service, and was currently employed at Village Spa in Collinsville. She was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church in Westfield, North Carolina. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Fain is survived by her husband, Marvin Lee Fain of the home; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Travis Gilley of Bassett, Brandi and Daniel Shelton of Spencer; two step-sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky Lee and Donna Fain of Spencer, Brandon Lee Fain of Roanoke; six step-grandchildren, Allison Hodges, Bryce Shelton, Ben Shelton, Emily Gilley, Anna Gilley and Ricky Lee Fain, Jr.; two step-great-grandchildren, Brendan Rakes and Ashlynn Donovant; and one brother and two sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Geraldine Parrish of Claudville, Josephine Parrish of Mount Airy, North Carolina. She was a special aunt and mother to her nephew, Dale Parrish and niece, JoAnn Parrish.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fain will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Tommy Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Stuart Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. She will be missed by her loving husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as by her family and Lee's family and their friends.
