Mrs. Woolsie Marsh Badgett

Mrs. Woolsie Mae Marsh Badgett, age 87 of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, December 08, 2014, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Badgett was born in Surry County on November 13, 1927 to Jim Melton and Hassie Ella McCraw Marsh. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Mrs. Badgett was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Gary Gwyn of Mt. Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cheryl Badgett of Germanton; grandchildren, Tammy Shinault and husband Dennis of Mt. Airy and Brian Badgett and wife Norma of Walnut Cove; great grandchildren, Cory Beasley, Raegan Badgett and a great-great grandson, Bentley Beasley; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Fred Harris of Winston-Salem and brothers and sisters-in-law, Lenwood and Shelby Marsh, Bobby and Versie Marsh and Orene Marsh all of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Badgett was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Hoover Badgett; a sister, Margaret Pack and by a brother, Otis Marsh. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Westside Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Steve Johnson. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
