Mrs. Zelda Raye Goins Baldwin

Mrs. Zelda Raye Goins Baldwin, age 75 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Baldwin was born in Patrick County on April 5, 1938 to James Hanibil and Alice Ann Willard Goins. She was such a loving mother who will be dearly missed. "For our mom, there is a bond between a mother and her daughters, a true understanding they share. A comforting friendship they count on and each one knows the other will always be there, one way or another. We love you mama." Surviving are daughters and a son-in-law, Beverly Baldwin and Becky Baldwin and Dennis Hodges all of Mt. Airy, a sister, Edna Willard of Mt. Airy and her special baby, Gracie. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baldwin was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Franklin Baldwin; sisters, Mabel Bowman, Gladys Bowman, Minnie Snuggs and Thelma Wright and brothers, Hanibil Goins, Henry Goins, Claude Goins and Elbert "Buddy" Goins. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home. Other services and burial will be private. The family requests that flowers and food be omitted and donations be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home at 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017 or to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to express a special thank you to NC Baptist Hospital and staff and to all the staff at The Woltz Hospice for the loving care given to Mrs. Baldwin during her illness.
