Mrs. Zula Mae "Sue" Creasey Haney, age 85 of Dunedin, Florida passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012. She was born in Patrick County on April 26, 1927 to the late Robert Edgar and Anice Mae Smart Creasey. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haney was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, James E. Haney. She had lived in Florida since 1958, moving to Dunedin in 1972. Before retiring at age 82, she was the records clerk for the FBI, earning a certificate of appreciation for serving her country during World War II, a kindergarten teacher, real estate agent, and certified nursing aide, ending her career in the call center at Neilsen Media Research. She was a member of the Central Christian Church. Her hobbies were growing orchids and crocheting afaghans for her family.
Mrs. Haney is survived by her son, Steven Michael Haney of Elgin, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Angela Marie and Ralph K. Davis of Dunedin, Florida; her brother, William R. Creasey of Stuart; three nieces; one nephew; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, and many other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Haney will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. Burial will follow in Minnie's Chapel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, August 24th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
