Mrs.Lummie Ila McMillian

Mrs. Lummie Ila Haynes McMillian, 75 widow of Dudley McMillian passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Carroll County, VA on March 14, 1939 to the late James Garfield and Hester May Hiatt Haynes. Mrs. McMillian was a member of Flat Ridge Baptist Church. She worked in furniture manufacturing during much of her career and then Pine State before her retirement. Mrs. McMillian is survived by a sister May Haynes and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bryant and Ruby Haynes and Herbert and Ruby Haynes. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Cana, VA. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Monday from 2:30 until the time of the service.
