Ms.. Linda Gail Barker

Ms. Linda Gail Hicks Barker age 60 of Mt. Airy, NC passed away Friday, July 17, 2014 at Golden Living-Surry Community Nursing Center. She was born August 14, 1953 in Surry County, NC to Leona Wood Hicks and the late Coney Hicks. She was retired from Lowes Foods and attended Woodville Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Robin James of Conewago Valley, NY, a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Michelle Barker of Mt. Airy, four grandchildren, Katlin Barker, Olivia James, Elaina James and Sterling James and her mother, Leona W. Hicks of Mt. Airy. In addition to her father, Ms. Barker was preceded in death by a "special friend", Mitch Russell. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, July 21, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Keith Love. Burial will follow in the Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10-11:00 am Monday at Moody Funeral Home.
