Ms. Bernice Emma Key Bullins, age 70, of Dobson passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born in Surry County on February 5, 1944 to the late Allen and Ada Smith Key. Ms. Bullins was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and DeAnn Bullins of Mount Airy and Danny and Sandra Bullins of East Bend; her beloved grandchildren, Stefanie Nicole O'Brien and Corey Eli Bullins; two great-grandchildren, Connor Jaxson O'Brien and Kiley Nicole O'Brien; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Patsy and Dwight Kendricks of Pinnacle and Johnnie Sue Fletcher of East Bend. In addition to her parents, an infant son, Johnny Lee Bullins, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by Brother Hank Robertson. Burial will follow in Stony Knoll United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bernice Bullins Funeral Fund, c/o Moody-Davis Funeral Home PO Box 295 Dobson, NC 27017 to assist the family with the final expenses.
