Ms. Ethel Johnston

Ms. Ethel Ann Johnston, age 55, of Dobson passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was born in Green County, New York on March 2, 1958 to the late John James and Lora Ellen VanWagoner Johnston. She was retired from the Hungry Farmer and of the Christian faith. A loving mother, grandmother, and friend, she leaves to cherish her memory her two sons and daughters-in-law, Davis and Kimberly Johnston of Mount Airy and Josh and Jeanne Johnston of Pinnacle; three grandchildren, Emma Creed, Brandi Creed and Izabella Johnston; one sister, Katherine Piccarello of Florida. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday January 25, 2014 at Chestnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Ararat, Virginia by the Rev. Arlis Thomas. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Ms. Johnston to the Mount Airy Dialysis Center 1280 Newsome Street Mount Airy, NC 27030. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Mount Airy Dialysis Center and Shores Home Health for their loving and compassionate care and a special Thanks to Helen Summerlin for her love and care.
