Ms. Lorraine Josephine Delaney

Ms. Lorraine Josephine Colgan Delaney, age 57, of Elkin, NC passed away at her home unexpectedly on Thursday morning August 6, 2015. She was born in Dublin, Ireland on July 17, 1958 to Patrick Martin Colgan Sr and to the late Eileen Marie O'Sullivan Colgan. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by a daughter Margaret Ryan. She was employed by Surry County as a Domestic Violence Case Worker. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law William and Brittany Delaney of Elkin, Kyle and Jennie Delaney of Elkin; two grandchildren Billy Delaney and Declan “Paul" Delaney; her father of Beth Page, NY; one sister and brother-in-law Eileen and Bob Ruff of Massapequa, NY; one brother Patrick J. Colgan and his wife Teresa of Long Island, NY. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, NC is helping the family.
