Ms. Mozelle Joyce Wood

Ms. Lillian Mozelle Joyce Wood, age 85 of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, October 03, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Ms. Wood was born in Stokes County on May 16, 1929 to Simon Peter and Angie Odell Lawson Joyce. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Regina Wood; grandchildren, Tracey Davidson and husband Renzie and Judson Wood; great grandchildren Camden Davidson, Casey Davidson, Alysa Wood and Madison Wood; and a brother and sisters-in-law, Robert Glen "Sonny" and Allene Joyce, Hazel Joyce, Janie Joyce and Mary Lou Jefferson. In addition to her parents, Ms. Wood was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Joyce, Pete Joyce and Larry Joyce. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Asbury Presbyterian Church by Rev. Terry Collins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 PM Sunday.
