Ms. Sherrie Lively Draughn

Ms. Sherrie Juanita Lively Draughn, age 72 of Dobson passed away in the comfort of her home on Sunday, October 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chattooga County, GA on June 17, 1942 to the late William and Vera Opal Hartley Lively. Ms. Draughn was a dedicated homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She dedicated her life to her family who will greatly miss her. Survivors include her children, Regina and husband Steve Morgan of Dobson, Will and wife Belinda Draughn of Dobson and Richard and fiancé Betsy Cook of Dobson; five beloved grandchildren, Jason Chrismon, Ryan Draughn, Stephanie Nester, Nikki Draughn and Elizabeth Draughn; a sister, Billie Cox of Dobson; and the father of her children, Mickey Draughn of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Becky Draughn Selby; and two grandsons, Brandon Draughn and Josh Draughn. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Dobson City Cemetery by Chaplain Justin Nelson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 pm until time to be carried to the cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200 Mount Airy, NC 27030.
