Ms. Taylor Alexus Chipman

Ms. Taylor Alexus Chipman, age 17, of State Road, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, May 2019. She was born in Surry County to Stephen and Melissa Chipman.  Taylor was a senior at Elkin High School and was employed by Mazzini’s Italian Restaurant in Elkin, NC, and also worked at Main St. Learning Place in Elkin, NC.  She was a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church.  Surviving are her parents, Stephen and Melissa Chipman; brother Ethan A. Chipman; grandparents, Lisa Angell, David and Donna Chipman, Tim and Robin Reece; aunts and uncles, Jennifer Reece, Vincent Reece, Glen Reece, Ashley Chipman, Rachel Chipman; several cousins.  Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at Welcome Valley Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Mountain Park Cemetery.  Brother Bill Jenkins will officiate the services.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Welcome Valley Baptist Church.  The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Elkin High School Wrestling Team in memory of Taylor, c/o Wrestling Team, 334 Elk Spur Street, Elkin, NC 28621
