Ms. Teresa Gaye Dawson McBride

Ms. Teresa Gaye Dawson McBride, 46 of Claudville, VA passed away at her home after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Ms. McBride was born on February 18, 1966 in Surry County to Elmer "Moe" and Sylvia Pell Dawson. She previously worked for L.S. Starrett and was a member of Flippin Memorial Baptist Church and also attended Trinity Faith Community Church. Throughout her illness, her faith always shined through and gave her the courage to endure whatever came her way. Ms. McBride loved her family and friends and always greeted you with a smile. She is survived by her three daughters, Courtney Brooke Dawson of Raleigh, Christin Elaine McBride of Mt. Airy and Megan Elizabeth McBride of the home; one unborn grandchild; one sister and brother-in-law, Tara Lea and Zach Murphy; two nephews, Jackson and Dawson Murphy both of Winston Salem; a special cousin, Cindy Hodges of Claudville and a special furry friend, Molly. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Hill Moravian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
