Ms. Virginia Clark Lawson

Ms. Virginia Laura Clark Lawson, age 83 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Ms. Lawson was born in Patrick County on June 21, 1930 to Johnnie Everett and Annie Laura East Clark. She was retired from Cross Creek Apparel. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Greg Lawson and Christine Bruder of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Amber Lawson and Jeremiah Lawson both of Myrtle Beach, SC; a great granddaughter, Madelyn Price; sisters, Nancy Woods of Bassett, VA, Frances Holt of Martinsville, VA, Rebecca Martin of Collinsville, VA and Pauline Overby of Stuart, VA; and a brother, John David Clark of Stuart, VA. In addition to her parents, Ms. Lawson was preceded in death by a brother, William Clark. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home
Chapel by Rev. Dennis "Bud" Cameron. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
